Desert Backsplash W.I.P.
This large kitchen backsplash draws inspiration from the
Southwestern desert landscape. Shown are the (sketches)
elevations , the two (approximately 4' long each) panels
which will be on either side of the stove , the section
above the stove , and two smaller panels (12" and 10 " )
which will be inbetween the wall and two windows. The
next photos are of the 8' wall , shown here in two
separate sections as well as joined edge to edge . Most
of the portions of the backsplash seen here are made of
cut glass tile. I am working in reverse on a clear,
sticky plastic coating . Bas relief ceramic tile features
in the design which will be above the stove. The last few
photos show the finished installed backsplash.
