Abstract Fruit
The starting point for the design of this kitchen back
splash was the desire to use fruit as subject matter. The
solution for this large kitchen was that two different
murals were designed.Above the stove, a still life
organized in a natural , realistic manner. Over the sink
area, a more abstract and symbolic arrangement of fruit
flows through and enlivens the space. A comment from the
client : "Even after six months (of having the backsplash
in my home) , I find the tilework breathtaking. I smile
every time I look at it . "
