Patterned Carpets
This back splash was designed by combining a variety of
pattern elements from the homeowners collection of
patterned carpets on display in their kitchen and living
room areas. “Laura first took photographs of the
kitchen and its surrounding carpets, and although we told
her our intended vision , she had so many ideas to add to
it that we waited to see her preliminary design sketches.
They were spectacular, but even more so was the finished
product: a free hanging back splash panel for the area
behind our stove. It is a dazzling combination of realism
and abstraction that picks up the colors in our oriental
carpets . It makes us happy every time we walk into the
kitchen.”
